Meeting Information

All meetings will be held at

(unless otherwise noted)

Schedule for all meetings:

5:00 - 5:30 p.m. Social time

5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Business meeting

West Des Moines Holiday Inn

How long do the meetings last?

Meetings are intended to be very short, generally lasting no longer than 45 minutes. However, we are planning on having a social time before each meeting to get to know other members, answer questions about the organization, and thank those of you who want to serve the community. We also encourage members to stay and enjoy dinner afterwards.

Meeting Frequently Asked Questions

Of course you can! However, in order to vote they will need to sign up prior to their first meeting. They can accomplish this by simply arriving at the meeting a few minutes early.

You can send a blank, signed check with a trusted friend to the meeting. They will write in the name of the charity that is chosen and give it to the organizers on your behalf. They do not vote on your behalf. We can only count the votes of members who are present.
Or...
You will receive an email immediately following the meeting and that will indicate the charity of choice and will provide the mailing address to use to send your check.

Presentation Information

I have a local charity that I want to present at the next meeting. What do I need to be prepared to talk about?

Presentations are simple and should not be overly formal. We do not use multi-media e.g. PowerPoint presentations, DVDs, etc. When you show up, here is a list of things that you should be prepared to talk about, at a minimum:

What is the name of the organization?

Where is the organization located?

What is the mission of the organization?

Who is responsible for discharging of funds?

How would they benefit from receiving the donation? How will the funds be used?

What are their administrative fees? (Note: They should not have any!)

Are they a recognized 501(c)(3)? Etc.

Share with the men if your organization has been previously selected by 100 Men on a Mission.

What purpose does the organization serve? (Who do they serve? What do they do? How do they do it?)
