H.U.G.S.

During the winter months, some of the most needed items are "H.U.G.S." -
Hats, Underwear, Gloves, and Socks!

In response to this need, and in
response to a call for action at our November meeting, 100 Men donated hundreds of items to help those in need. This collective gift was presented to Bethel Mission as part of their winter drive.

Yet another way to answer the call right here in our community.

Dorothy's House Pergola

During our May 2017 meeting, Kellie Markey, the Executive Director of Dorothy's House, thanked the men for their generous gift from our February meeting. She was then asked if there was anything else she needed at the transitional house and her immediate response was "labor to install a pergola". 'Nuf said!'

A sub-group of 100 Men rallied to the cause and over the course of three days, the pergola became a reality. In addition to the labor, we were able to get the wood donated through some personal contacts (thanks to Reid and Wolf Construction)! All in all, a great way to expand the reach of 100 Men and pay it forward to our community partners who are doing great work here in central Iowa.
